Matt and Isobel in Grandma J's dining room
A Game of Cricket, and a Walk Around Chagford, Devon - 23rd August 2020
There's a game of youth cricket going on up at the Chagford Cricket Pitch, then we're off to Spreyton for a few visits to the shops and the village hall. After that, we're back in Chagford again for a walk around.
next album: A Walk up Hound Tor, Dartmoor, Devon - 24th August 2020

A nice crescent moon
Fred in the Spreyton village shop
Fred on the road through Spreyton
A 'Blue Peter' 1970s Devon County Council logo
Harry says hello to Doug the Dog
Harry and Doug
Hanging around on the cricket pitch
A game of cricket occurs
Sis strides around
Dartmoor ponies and cows
We wander off around the bottom of Meldon Hill
A creaky old iron bench
Roaming around
A pony looks over
Doug the Dog runs around
We plough through the bracken
Doug pokes his head up over the bracken
The gang in the bracken
Fred crosses a log bridge
Crossing another stream
Harry's on a dirt hill
Isobel and Sis in Grandma J's dining room
The kids mess around on the hill in Chapel Park
Fred does some sort of rock-star pose
Sis looks down the hill
Spreyton village hall
Harry gets a swing
Matt struggles with Doug
The Spreyton cricket pavillion
Inside the almost-derelict pavillion
A wrecked lining machine
The cricket-pitch mower
A Spreyton farm
Fred wanders off
Doug waits for a bribe
Harry bounces around
Harry and Fred in the village shop's car park
We head off after buying sweets and chocolate
Sis and Matt head off with Doug the Dog
In the Tom Cobley beer garden
The Cobley beer garden
Some of the Cobley's many CAMRA awards
Sis dishes out some Ma'ida take-away curry
The boys in the spare bedroom
Isobel wanders past the village hall
We walk around Chagford town centre
Roaming the streets of Chagford
Fred peers into an K6 phone box
Fred in the K6 phone box
Fred outside the newsagents
A Chagford thatched house
The queue for the greengrocers
The Dartmoor Shepherd
The thatched house that used to be Lloyds Bank
The main road out of Chagford
Isobel in the bakery
An NHS window painting in the old Spar
The gang outside the Fruit Loop greengrocer
Fruit and vegetables
Fred and Harry have a bit of ennui
