Once again, we're on the roof of St. Andrew's
The Lord Mayor's Procession, Norwich, Norfolk - 2nd July 2022
Whilst Harry's away at his Cubs camp, we head up to Norwich with Soph the Roph in tow. Once there, they head off to the cinema to see Minions: the Rise of Gru, whilst we roam around and catch a bit of the outdoor music and arts stuff going on around the city. We then meet up in time to see the Lord Mayor's parade as it wanders down Red Lion Street and on to Castle Meadow. As we meander back to the car park, Fred spots a large cactus in a stall on Norwich Market which he just has to have.

There's a spangly dinosaur in Royal Arcade
The old Game is getting some graffiti on the windows
Another dinosaur, in Castle Mall
There's a rock choir singing in Castle Mall
People on escalators pass by oblivious
The choir does its moves
Isobel and Fred are in the cinema queue
There's a nice model of Norwich Castle
Another dinosaur
The closed-down Number 12 on Farmer's Avenue
Prospect House, the former EDP offices
A gold dinosaur outside Propect House
The Woolpack on Golden Ball Street
A City of Stories mural
Another dino, outside John Lewis
A cool Wooly Mammoth in John Lewis
A spotty dinosaur on All Saints Green
We catch the end of Afraid of Ghosts' set
People mill around by the spotty dinosaur
Poet Kitty Hawkins reads some poems
The action on All Saints Green
A curious 1930s building
We stop for a quick lunch at a Thai café
Some circus skills occur
St. John the Baptist church
A nice bookshop on Timber Hill
A cool dragon and caterpillar in a basement window
A T-1000 Terminator bride
The top of Timber Hill
There's a cute thatched cottage behind Westlegate
Westlegate Tower
Outside the Gardeners Arms, and the Murderers
An empty shop off Timber Hill
Crowds build on on Red Lion Street
Another dinosaur is spotted on Davey Place
A music act on Castle Street
Graffiti in a neglected corner
A nice old window
Graffiti up on the roof
Crossing the road on Red Lion Street
The view up to the castle
Isobel waits for the parade
Crowds on the bottom of Timber Hill
Isobel roams around
Bicycle rozzers get ready to clear the way
It's getting quite busy on Red Lion Street
A small dragon leads the parade
The Lord Mayor of Norwich, surround by courtesans
More dignitiaries in the parade
A sea of orange
A giant puppet float around
Some spangly majorettes dance around
More dancers
Fred stands on a box to get a better view
Even more dancers pass by
A school group with a nice black-and-gold theme
Gold faces and crowns
An inflatable sea horse on a stick
A woman struggles with an inflatable
Looking out over the parade
A samba group heads down the street
All-gold costumes in the parade
The samba group pauses for a traffic jam
Samba carries on up to Castle Meadow
Loads of tiny Queens of Hearts
Another school dancing group
A colourful group outside the old Debenhams
Some massive flags bring up the rear of the parade
Large crowds follow the parade down the road
Isobel, Fred and Sophie head through the crowds
Fred and Sophie eat on the steps of Hay Hill
A superb Beat Boxer does a performance
Beat Boxing on Gentleman's Walk
Isobel, Fred and Sophie on the Haymarket
Fred sees a cactus he really wants
Fred buys a big cactus
The alleys of Norwich Market
Another dinosaur on Gentlman's Walk
St. Andrew's Street is closed off
