New Milton and a Return to Lymington, Hampshire - 17th January 2026

It's a rare alignment of planets as Phil's over from the US for a few days to sort some stuff out, Hamish is on one of the few weeks a year when he's not on holiday, Sean's around in New Milton and Nosher's not currently down with a kidney infection, so Sean sorts us all out to be in New Milton at the same time. Nosher gets down by train and starts off early with a beer in the Hourglass craft pub near the station, after which Sean joins up for a few more. The next morning, we meet up with Hamish and Jane for breakfast at the Daisy Tea Garden at Setley Ridge garden centre near Brockenhurst. Then Nosher and Sean head over to Lymington for a walk around town and a browse through the Saturday market, after which we drive over to Keyhaven for a short walk. On Saturday evening, Phil's arrived from the US and meets us, plus Hannah, Hamish and Phil's brother Chris, in the excellent Blossom Chinese Restaurant on Old Milton Road. After that, it's time for a few games of snooker in the Conservative Club on Station Road.
