Isobel and the boys head down to the departure gate
Barcelona and Parc Montjuïc, Catalonia, Spain - 21st October 2017
As part of Isobel's 40th birthday celebrations, we head out to Barcelona in Catalonia for a few days, with Isobel staying on a bit longer. We're staying in the El Poble-Sec area of the city, not far from the foothills of Parc Montjuïc, in a nice two-bedroom apartment. It's all certainly less frantic than being on or near La Rambla. There's also a contingent of Isobel's Dublin massive - family and friends - with whom we meet up at various times for beers and food. On day two, we explore the aforementioned Parc Montjuïc and visit the Museu de archaeologica. But first, we have to get there, and for a change Ruinair is flying to the actual Barcelona El Prat airport, instead of Girona, which is actually 60 miles to the north-east.
