Mere Street in Diss has got the bunting out
A Postcard from the Castle on the Hill, Framlingham, Suffolk - 14th July 2018
We head over to Framlingham to have a poke around the market and then visit Framlingham Castle, made famous by Ed Sheeran in the song "Castle on the Hill". Ed's not there, but we get some cheese and a French stick and have an impromptu picnic under the big tree before having a walk around the walls.
next album: Diss Fest, The Park, Diss, Norfolk - 22nd July 2018
previous album: An Oaksmere Party, Brome, Suffolk - 14th July 2018
Harry, Isobel and Fred at Framlingham Market
Framlingham market, and the plant stall
Market Hill in Framlingham
A back alley off Market Hill
A nice pie and cheese stall
We pick up some pies and cheese
Isobel walks past a fancy McClaren
Picnic under a twisty tree
Harry roams around
We head off past the Castle Inn pub
Heading to the castle entrance
Red House in Framglingham Castle
Harry and Fred play a giant game of four-in-a-row
Fred makes his move in Connect 4
Isobel sits on a bench and watches
Isobel looks on as the boys play
Hats through the ages
Fred climbs up a tower
A view over the Mere towards Framlingham College
The Red House from the ramparts
Fred tries to climb out of an arrow slit
Red House inside Framlingham castle
The boys run around on the ramparts
In the museum
The English Heritage shop is selling actual swords
Harry in the moat
There's a gnarled old tree stump by the castle walls
Fred is a dot by the castle walls
Isobel and Harry
