Taptu's content-curation area gets new walls
The BSCC Weekend Away, Thaxted, Essex - 10th May 2008
The Brome Swan Cycle Club does its annual weekend away, this year to the town of Thaxted near Saffron Walden in Essex. Both the weather and the scenery are superb, and the route takes us about 28 miles - or 29 with unintended diversions - around the Essex countryside via several pubs, which provide much-needed beer refreshment - especially as it's getting pretty hot by the afternoon. Isobel even pitches in to do the first half, leaving us at Finchingfield and returning back to Thaxted, whilst the rest of us press on up ever-steeper hills.
