Genesis Live at Twickenham, and Music on Parker's Piece, London and Cambridge - 8th July 2007
It's the third and final leg of following Genesis around Europe, and this time it's closer to home at Twickenham in Greater London. Nosher's there with former Qualcomm colleagues Louise, and Dave who's doing the driving, but unlike Helsinki and Paris, it's seating, and we're a few miles back from the stage. The crowd is good, and the set-back view gives a chance for a more "holistic" view of the stage set, which featured the largest screen in the world at the time. After that, there are cows on Coldham's Common in Cambridge, blocking the cycle to work, and then there's a French Market and music event happening on Parker's Piece.
next album: Taptu (Don't) Go Punting, River Cam, Cambridge - 12th July 2007
previous album: Genesis Live at Parc Des Princes, Paris, France - 30th June 2007
Twickenham Stadium fills up
The stadium is pretty packed
Classic Genesis smoke and lights
The amazing stage set in action
Thousands in Twickenham Stadium
Pyrotechnics at the end of the main set
The stadium fills with smoke and light
There's an encore
The gig finishes with 'We Can't Dance'
We're on the M25
The tunnel just before the M11 turnoff
The cows are out on Coldham's Common
A young cow blocks the cycle path
The Coldham cows
Some dude cycles past Cambridge United's ground
A cow tries to break in to the football ground
It's lashing it down on Brooks Road
There's a mini flood outside Sainsbury's
A rainbow over a Suffolk field
Taptu receives an order of hard drives
Down at Milton Tesco's, there's a lot of shopping
Messing around with test tubes
It's the end of a Race For Life on Jesus Green
More runners/walkers do the Race For Life
More test-tube randomness
There's a French Market on Parker's Piece
Some bric-a-brac stalls
There's also some sort of music event on
A balloon seller roams around
Some dude reads a book
A funky band from Algeria are on stage
Algerian music
The bass player looks over
There's always a 'Bez' at festivals
The kebab van
More balloons
Cambridge Police's high-tech mobile cop shop
Elsewhere, Flamenco lessons are on the go
Crowds on Parker's Piece
