The SYWO at Holbrook, and a Trip to Norwich - 1st April 2026

Fred's residential at the Royal Hospital School with the Suffolk Youth Wind Band finishes up with a performance at the school, but luckily rather than the impressive but cave-like chapel, it's in the newly-refurbished assembly hall, which provides an infinitely better experience. The next day, we're back at the Norfolk and Norwich for Isobel's weekly appointment, but this week's timing gives us a bit of time for a walk around afterwards. Isobel fancies a look down by the river, so for a change we park up by the Adam and Eve, walk down to Cow Tower and around to the Cathedral, and finish off with a pint of Guinness Zero in the Adam and Eve itself - a place not visited since around 1995. The pub also has a few photos of old Norwich on walls, which are duly "pinched".
