A view over the marshes
The boys, as usual, can't be bothered, so Nosher and Isobel leave them to it and drive over to Southwold for a walk in the biting easterly wind. To warm up we visit the Sole Bay Inn for a plate of chunky chips and, thanks to Isobel volunteering to drive back, the ultimate treat of a couple of pints of Adnams Old - the first of the winter.

A view over the marshes
Walkers on the promenade at Southwold
There's a lot of sea foam around
Isobel walks up towards South Green
Isobel on the clifftop
There are a lot of Boxing Day walks on the beach
There's a whole tree on the beach
The remains of a tree on Southwold beach
Isobel finds a rock with Orla on it
There's a small plastic hammerhead shark
One of the beach-front cafés is open
The prize: a pint of Adnams Old
Lots of dogs in the pub
The bar of the Sole Bay Inn
A fan has googly eyes and a Santa hat
Isobel gets her coat
Isobel on Stradbroke Road outside the pub
Southwold Pier
A dog refuses to do something amusing for the Gram
Another dog legs it after a ball
The waves are quite lively under the pier
We do the two-pence coin pushers for a bit
