A Christmas Day Miscellany, Brome, Suffolk - 25th December 2025

It's Christmas Day, and after the present-opening frenzy we head out for a couple of drinks at the Oaksmere, followed by Christmas dinner at home. The day before we're in Diss again for a couple of last-minute things, which gives a chance to finally see the old ballroom upstairs over Number 8 in the Market Place. In between, Lucy - the one-eyed cat - has managed to chew a small hole in cling film and expertly remove a sausage wrapped in streaky bacon from the made-for-Christmas-Day pigs in blankets stash.
