There's a nice model of the base in a glass box
Mick the Brick is off to the 100th Bomb Group Museum at Thorpe Abbots and offers to give Nosher a lift, so we spend a couple of hours poking around before a drink and an Eccles cake in the café. It's quite surprising how busy it is given that it's a Wednesday morning, as there's at least one pre-booked tour group and the control tower is almost standing-room only for a bit. The following weekend, the Gislingham Silver Band is once again playing at the Pulham Market carnival, where it's a bit windy but generally nice, but we finish with only minutes before it starts raining. As we're playing, Isobel borrows the camera and gets a few photos.

There's a nice model of the base in a glass box
Mick the Brick looks at stuff
We chat to one of the volunteers
The last remaining bit of the perimeter track
We're on the roof of the control tower
Mick in the control tower
A big TA on the roof of the control tower
It's surprisingly busy at the museum
Some dude's got all the gear on
A stained-glass 8th Airforce insignia
Thorpe Abbots' original control tower
A grand house in Dickleburgh
The GSB gets ready to play
The Gislingham Silver Band in a marquee
Terry on bass drum
An unprecedented six cornets in action
Prizes are announced for the floats
Fancy dress in the crowds
Archie's doing the Treasure Island game again
There's more prize-giving
The scene on Pulham Market Green
A Christmas-themed float is a bit out of season
Sam keeps an eye on the gazebo
A nice old lorry from Saxlingham Thorpe
Someone's got an owl out
The band after the gig
Clouds gather over Pulham
Isobel roams around
Hint: you can use the left and right cursor keys to navigate between albums, and between photos when in the photo viewer
