A wind turbine gets some emergency maintenance
The BSCC is out again, this time to the Trowel and Hammer at Cotton followed by the Four Horseshoes at Thornham Magna. Then, Harry needs a lift to Bedfield so he can do his performance for Grade 1 saxophone. The hanging-around time means another trip to St. Nicholas at Bedfield for a closer look at some of the details, including the late-Mediaeval Rood Screen, which has mostly survived the reformation and/or Civil War iconoclasts. Finally, we're in Diss where there's some sort of military-themed event going on, including the Army cadets doing some sort of recruiting drive.

A wind turbine gets some emergency maintenance
There's a collection of cool mopeds in Cotton
Phil and Fred at the Trowel and Hammer
Fred has a pint of diet cola
The Boy Phil comes back from the bar with a round
Beers in the garden
The moped boys head off
The sun sets behind Finningham water tower
We're on the top road to Wickham Skeith
The Boy Phil looks over another too-ripe field
We stop off at the Four Horseshoes for more beer
Farm buildings at Bedfield
A real mixture of styles, including a Norman door
A votive candle holder in a window
Part of the late-Mediaeval Rood screen
Bedfield's late-Mediaeval Rood screen
A sampler showing significant Bedfield buildings
A former Rood Loft access and staircase
Light streams through a plain glass window
17th-century benches in the church
A book dedication from 1700
A close-up of a 17th-century poppyhead
The nave and chancel of St. Nicholas
The church has a recent-ish compost toilet
A view from the back of St. Nicholas
A view of fields
Bedfield Hall, from up the path
There's a stack of concrete A's
We pass a field full of cow parsley or something
A field of wheat looks almost ready
Isobel looks around outside No. 8 Marketplace
Park Radio is setting up a roadshow
An Army LandRover and the cadets do recruiting
Mere Street and its bunting in the sun
