Fred's New Bike and an A140 Closure, Brome, Suffolk - 27th February 2021

The shortage of bikes thanks to everyone and their dog buying one during Lockdown One means that we're about five months late getting Fred's birthday present, but finally something suitable shows up at Madgett's Cycles in Diss. After Mick Madgett saws off enough saddle post enough so that Fred can actually get on the thing, we take it out for a test spin - first for a follow-up visit with Isobel to the old sewage works on The Avenue, and then Nosher and Fred go out for a slightly longer ride through Mellis, where we catch up with the closure of the A140 as the road is diverted round the new roundabout.
