In the morning, Isobel and the boys go for a swing
The Bure Valley Railway, Aylsham, Norfolk - 26th May 2013
It's Day Two of the birthday weekend, and this time we're on the railway-in-miniature that is the Bure Valley Railway. From Wroxham it's a leisurely 45 minute ride on the narrow-gauge railway through and to Nosher's old stomping ground (for 6 months) of Buxton, Brampton and Aylsham. There, we eat a picnic before the return journey and a poke around the signal box back at Wroxham.

Harry swings around
Fred has a swing too
Isobel roams around
Fred in the grounds of the hotel
The engine driver on 'Blickling Hall'
The mini train waits at the platform
Harry and Isobel in the carriage
Fred, Harry and Isobel
A yellow field of oilseed rape
We pass the other train
A carriage with a '5' on it
At Aylsham, there's a dove on the tracks
A miniature diesel, 2nd Air Division USAAF
The Blickling Hall steams up
Cool engine sheds at Aylsham
Metal-working machinery
The engineering sheds at Aylsham Station
One or two buckets, and a pile of coal
Stacks of nice new sleepers
Some bit of derelict train
Cows mooch about in the Bure Valley near Buxton
The river valley near Brampton
A view along the tracks
Some dude leans on an engine
Crowds pile off the train
The engine spins on a turntable
A noticeboard
The engine 'Blickling Hall', back at Wroxham
The train steams off on another trip
Isobel, Harry and Fred at the station
The view from the signal box
Isobel chats to the boys
Fred behind the signal levers
A volunteer lets Fred have a go
Harry thinks it's hysterical running around
Fred gets a bit more instruction
The diesel engine comes in
The Wroxham signal box
Hint: you can use the left and right cursor keys to navigate between albums, and between photos when in the photo viewer
