Clogherrevagh and Strandhill, Leitrim, Ireland - 24th August 2026

We're on the road again, this time from Monkstown Farm in Dublin up the M4 to SALA - the St. Angela's Lakeside Aparthotel - a bunch of student accomodation blocks on the shore of Lough Gill in Clogherrevagh, just a few miles outside Sligo. We arrive a bit early and so the apartment isn't ready, so we drive a bit further into Manorhamilton to see Philly and Davida. After that, we check out the facilities at SALA, including a well-equipped, if somewhat archaic, gym, and Isobel goes for a swim in the lough. The next day, we meet up with Philly and Rachel at Strandhill for a walk past the airport to the church of Cill Easpaig Bhróin, which was where St. Patrick was said to have lost a tooth after tripping over on rough ground.
