Halloween and Flamenco Guitar, Lloret de Mar, Catalunya, Spain - 31st October 2024
It's Halloween in Lloret de Mar, and as we're up in Plaça de l'Església for a flamenco guitar concert we get to catch a small but noisy parade made up of drums and zombies as it does a few circuits of the local streets. The boys are with us for dinner, but head off back to the hotel whilst we cross the square to the church of Sant Román to watch a mesmerising display of virtuoso guitar playing from Marc Segura - accompanied occasionally by the noise of drums as the zombie parade passes the church from time to time. Before that, Nosher and Isobel do a walk over to the next bay along the coast, and we have a little bit of a tapas snack at the Café Maxim on the beach.
