The Death of the Feather Factory, Diss, Norfolk - 30th August 2024

Nosher, Fred and Harry are up in Norwich to do the annual requirement that is school shoe shopping, along with trousers, socks and all the rest of it. As a payback, we have a late lunch at Pizza Express - for the first time in ages. A couple of days later, we're up in Diss for a welcome visit to Andy Sausage, also for the fist time in ages since Andy stopped doing Saturdays by Mere's Mouth. Also in Diss, the old Feather Factory on Park Road has been completely demolished in the last couple of weeks, so that's worth a few photos. Finally, on Friday evening, there's the launch of the Brome and Oakley Life calendar down at the village hall, comprising of local photographs voted for by the public at a competition during the summer fete. It's a bit of a family affair as Nosher ended up with three photos included, with a hare jumping across Rectory Road being used as the front cover, whilst Isobel also won a couple of spots with her Northern Lights and a picture of the resevoir on a misty morning.

next album: A Protest on the Beach, Aldeburgh, Suffolk - 1st September 2024
