Isobel's Relatives Visit, Brome, Suffolk - 20th July 2024
A whole heap of Isobel's relatives are meeting up at the house. Firsly, there's Julie and Cameron, who are over from Australia via a few months in Canada, and then there's cousin Sheena with her family, who are visiting from the slightly-nearer Lincoln. It's fairly crowded so the Lincolnshire posse are camping in the garden, and feeding so many people (12 in total) is challenging, so it's a barbeque one night followed by giant pizzas from the kebab shop in Eye the next. After that, there's a stop off at Stonham Parva on the way back from dropping Fred off at orchestra rehearsal and a chance to check out the closed-down Magpie pub, and the remains of the missing Grade II listed gibbet sign that used to span the A140, but which was damaged and removed in July 2021.
