Ollie's 70th Birthday, The Handyman, Eye, Suffolk - 1st June 2024
Local legend and sometime YouTube star Ollie, employee of the Handyman ironmongers in Eye for some 41 years, is celebrating his 70th birthday. To mark the occasion, a surprise birthday has been arranged, although by the time it kicks off the surprise has been somehwat diluted by numerous people over the previous few days suggesting that Ollie "has a nice time on Saturday afternoon". There's a good turnout for birthday tea in the market square outside the front of the Handyman, and the Diss Express even sends along a photographer to capture the event.
