The Death of Debenhams, Rampant Horse Street, Norwich, Norfolk - 17th April 2021

We're in Norwich where it's the last few weeks of that former stalwart of the High Street - Debenhams - ground down by debt thanks to bad ownership and finally killed off by the pandemic. There's also a Socialist Worker/Extinction Rebellion mash-up "Kill the Bill" demonstration, which we first see outside the city hall and then catch again briefly as it noisily wends its way up St. Stephen's Street as we're heading in the vague direction of John Lewis. But before all of that, it's the first night where the pubs are sort-of open, so we head up to Bruha - formerly known as Station 119 - on Eye Airfield for a freezing evening on the car park, where it's pretty much the same people as were there on the last night all those months before, so it's like nothing happened.
