A Bike Ride to the Railway Tavern, Mellis, Suffolk - 7th May 2018
We're out on the bikes for a ride over to the Mellis Railway, about four miles away, and before that there's a ride into Diss for a haircut with Fred. It's all practice for the up-coming BSCC Weekend Away to Holt in Norfolk.
next album: A Lunchtime Trip to Peking Seoul, Paddington, London - 9th May 2018
previous album: Isobel's 10km Run, Alton Water, Stutton, Suffolk - 6th May 2018
The graffiti train heads up the line to Norwich
Vintage bikers at The Victoria, Earl Soham
The Boy Phil reads the paper in The Victoria
Fred's on the Lows on the way to Palgrave
Fred on the Lows
Fred in Palgrave
Fred waits to turn onto the main road
We wait at the level crossing
Gaz fights with a parasol at the Oaksmere
Harry roams around
On the road to Thrandeston
Isobel cycles past the church in Thrandeston
Harry's on the tow bar
Fred looks back as we pause near Thrandeston
Isobel and Harry cycle up to the Mellis Railway
Fred parks his bike up
The boys in a K6 phone box
There's a nice old Ford Mustang outside
A vintage Ford Mustang by the Mellis Railway
The boys relax in the long grass
Harry blows the seeds off a dandelion
The boys on Mellis common
A nice old MG roadster
The Railway Tavern sign
The stained glass of the Mellis phone box
The boys find a dog to play with
A Greater Anglia Class 90 on the crossing
Isobel and the boys outside the Railway
Harry's got a lemonade
The Mellis K6 phone box
Fred cycles up Earlsford Road
Fred comes back to check his bike out
On the road back to Thrandeston
We spot a sadly-squashed snake on the road
Fred's under a pile on the Oaksmere's slide
Isobel's got the paellera out
The sun picks out the smoke nicely
