Lamma Island, Hong Kong, China - 20th August 2001

The last day-trip before returning to the UK is a trip to Lamma Island - not far from Hong Kong itself. We get the ferry to Yung Shue Wan on one side of the island, and trek across the hills in 35°C heat and 100% humidity to reach Sok Kwo Wan a few hours later, for a bit of a seafood feast at the "Lamma Hilton", one of several restaurants along the waterfront. The choice of restaurant was more due to the entertainment provided by the owner, who was touting for business from any hapless passer-by, rather than any informed choice. As it turned out though it did do good food.
