Harry takes a photo from the sea wall
It's Harry's karate club's annual camping weekend at the Harbour Campsite in Southwold, and the timing is quite good as it means a few days' respite from the 30°C heat of the "interior" of Suffolk. Isobel and Harry are there for the whole weekend from Thursday night, however Nosher's playing with the Gislingham Silver Band on the Saturday, so it's a bit disjointed and it means tragically missing out on a day in Southwold's pubs drinking Adnams beers. On the upside, there's a trip down to the Harbour Inn on the Friday evening for food and a few pints, and to watch the impressive sunset over the river.

Harry takes a photo from the sea wall
A view of Southwold from across the common
There's a lovely Triumph Herald convertible
A random pile of boats
The fishermen's huts of Blackshore
Isobel roams around the boatyards
Harry stands on a post
Harry tries to avoid the camera
Isobel in the Harbour Inn
A floor-level hatch by the bar
Harry's having a moment of ennui
An antique ship's bell
A sparrow gets a snack of left-over bread
Harry checks some photos
Joey watches the sunset
Mirka, Isobel and Sean have a chat
You are here on a sign
The sun sets over the river at Southwold
Harry chats to Sean
Another view of the sunset over the river
Fishing boats in the dusk
Isobel walks along Blackshore
Birds wheel around over the river
Wooden pontoons in the placid river
Harry and Isobel
Round the back of some fishing huts
Another look at the dramatic sunset
A random assortment of fishermen's huts
Fishermen's huts in black and blue
Corrugated sheds and a singposted letter box
A derelict fishing boat in the dusk light
The Walberswick side of the river
We head back to the campsite
Our campsite spot
A view of the campsite
Joey and Jacob do a bit of ball throwing
An empty beach
The lighthouse does its thing
Isobel has a paddle
Harry looks at the sea
There's a giant log on the beach
Harry stumps around on the beach
Bright pink flowers in the sand dunes
Harry shows Isobel a thing that he's found
Southwold from the sand dunes
Harry chases a red balloon down the beach
We watch a dredger float around at anchor
A cluster of houses behind the dunes
Harry and Isobel on the beach in the morning
The beach is still quite empty
It's fairly wavey out at sea
Isobel stumps up the beach
