Cromer Pier early in the morning
It's Day Two of the birthday weekend at the Red Lion in Cromer, and we get the CH1 Coast Hopper bus over to Wells Next the Sea for a look around as well as another trip on the 1959 Leyland Tiger bus which the does the round-trips to the beach and back. Then, we wander back on the CH1 with a stop-off at the Fishing Boat in East Runton - the one with the nice "secret" beer garden - for a couple of pints. After that, we round out the evening with Fish and Chips from No.1 chippy on the cliff top above the pier.

Cromer Pier early in the morning
The Red Lion Hotel and Tucker Street in Cromer
A fishing boat with a cloud of seagulls
The awesome bar of the Red Lion
We're on the Coast Hopper bus
Jicklings Yard in Wells Next The Sea
A pub chef hauls spuds around
Crabbers on Beach Road
More crabbing action in Wells Next the Sea
Boats on the East Fleet estuary
A George Rex post box on Staithe Street
Walsingham And Son hardware on Staithe Street
A grumpy gargoyle watches the tourists
The granary building in Wells
The tide is out on East Fleet estuary
The 1959 Leyland Tiger is doing the rounds again
It's fairly busy on Wells beach
A red-and-white striped former sea buoy
The Leyland Tiger arrives at the beach end
Isobel outside John's Rock Shop
A very pretty bus stop near Stiffkey
Cows are out on the salt marshes
The Coast Hopper party bus is fairly full
A field of red poppies
The Weybourne village sign
The remains of Weybourne Priory
A much more modern church: St. Andrew's Methodist
Butterflies in the beer garden of the Fishing Boat
Isobel returns from a mission to find beer
On High Street in East Runton
A closed-up coffee shop in East Runton
The CH1 bus rolls into Cromer
Another George Rex postbox
An antiques/bric-a-brac market on Prince of Wales
The mad 1970s extenion on Le Moon
We wander up New Street
An ice-cream-licking cow on New Street
The roofs and chimney stacks of Cromer
The back door of Hotel de Paris
Looking up Tucker Street to the Red Lion
The grand staircase of the Red Lion Hotel
An old wrought-iron Red Lion sign
Coloured glass in the hotel windows
It's all very pink by an ice-cream shop
We get fish and chips at No. 1
Looking up at the Red Lion from the promenade
Isobel looks out over the promenade wall
One of many Fordson Major tractors on the sea front
A tractor on a hill
More tractors near the pier
A view from the cliff top
Back in the bar of the Red Lion
