A Visit to St. John the Baptist Cathedral, Unthank Road, Norwich - 18th December 2025

Isobel's in Norwich for a work session in the library, so Nosher tags along too for something to do. One of the places never before seen in nearly 40 years of familiarity with the city - despite having lived less than 500 metres away from it in the 80s - is the Catholic cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Unthank Road, and so that omission is fixed with a look around the building designed by George Gilbert Scott junior in a Gothic Revival style, completed in 1910, and considered one of the finest examples of its type.
