The band assembles at St. Andrew's, Wickham Skeith
The Gislingham Silver Band is playing at the village's VE Day 80th Anniversary event at the village hall, on a very nice sunny day. Also performing is the Gislingham Variety Club, which sings along with the band on a version of Wish Me Luck. The day before that, the band is also playing, but this time it's for the funeral of former Musical Director, trombonist and flugel-horn player Ron Wright, who died at the age of 94 after an 82-year playing career, of which nearly forty was with the GSB.
next album: The BSCC at the Greyhound, Botesdale, Norfolk - 15th May 2025
