A dead caravan and the new housing estate
Isobel and the Palgrave Players are in Diss to participate in the opening of Diss Museum for its 2025 season, along with a small crowd in 1940s period dress and the Gislingham Variety Club singing 1940s songs - all on account of it being the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII. It's also the 50th anniversary of the museum itself, the the former curator comes along to do a speech. Before that, it's the first ride of the year across the airfield to the Mellis Railway, and there's another ride to Gislingham and back. Also, we head up to Brome Village Hall for a meeting about a proposed solar farm, which is planned to take up about 1,500 acres of local farm land.
