The Lads on Tour and the BSCC at the Red Lion, Needham - 30th November 2024
Mikey P gets round to organising a lads' night out - the first in a few years - which takes in the Railway at Mellis, The Bull at Bacton, which is packed, and finally the Trowel and Hammer in Cotton. The latter is busy enough but empties out a bit by around 9.30pm, although we're there until 11pm. Apparently that's the new normal for pubs, which is a bit sad. The next day, the BSCC gets back together for Christmas dinner at the Red Lion in Needham. In a nod to the olden days up the Swan Inn in Brome, Matthew - grandson of Sylvia, who used to do the cooking back in the day - is working in the kitchen on the night of our dinner.
