Celebration at Snape Maltings, and an Irish Quiz, Brome, Suffolk - 13th March 2024

Fred and the Hartismere Concert Band are involved in the annual "Celebration" at Snape Maltings - where a selection of Suffolk schools do some sort of performance. Whilst several are the regular "junior school choir", one of the better ones sings musical rounds with added recorders. Hartismere's performance is by far the most impressive, with a good performance from the band and possibly an even-more impressive apearance from a jazz/fusion quartet, with strong hints of the art band Black Country, New Roads. Fred's less than impressed though at the end where there's an ensemble moment with all schools together on stage singing and signing the finale number. After that, Nosher's on a bike ride which ends up going through Burgate, then we're at an Irish-themed quiz at Brome Village Hall, which we - perhaps unsurprisingly - actually win.
