The alley from the market place
Framlingham, Aldeburgh and the USAAF Heritage Trust, Hoxne, Suffolk - 14th February 2024
We're on a mission to find some crab to make some "Evil V-Day" ravioli, so we first try Framingham, to no avail. So we have a quick walk around the castle battlements and stop for a drink in the Dancing Goat café before heading on to Aldeburgh, which being by the sea ought to have something. It turns out that everyone else has already bought all the crab from the seafront huts, so we get some fancy prawns and a couple of bits of salmon to eat instead. Later on, Clive's hosting a meeting of the Bungay Airfield USAAF Heritage Trust, which causes much traffic chaos in Hoxne - to the ire of at least one local resident - due to its popularity.

Leo's Deli, by Queen's Head Alley
Isobel wanders off
Framlingham market place is a bit damp
A hearse carriage in the castle museum
A sign for books, made out of books
We end up in Aldeburgh and the fish huts
The derelict Jill Anne fishing boat
The famous We Smoke Fish Here hut
There's a game of petanque on the seafront
A fishing boat on the beach
A stack of fish crates, from as far away as Devon
A sea-spray mist hangs over the beach
Aldeburgh beach
Isobel stumps off up the shingle
Another derelict fishing boat on the beach
Aldeburgh High Street
Regatta sea-food restaurant
A sign for Smiths Bakery, from 1950
A curious tiny house on King Street
Isobel by the Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall
Aldeburgh sea front
The coffee shack near the model boat pond
The USAAF Heritage Trust meeting gets ready
St. Edmund's Hall in Hoxne is packed
Clive gets a photo from up on the stage
An introduction to the project occurs
Suzanne and Milly are doing the refreshments
Clive chats to his posse
Harry's built another sofa den
