The BSCC at the Cock Inn and a Flute Exam, Bedfield, Suffolk - 25th August 2023

The BSCC - Nosher, Phil and Paul - are out on the Thursday bike ride, however it starts raining so after hiding under the trees in Palgrave we cut it short a bit and decide on Ampserand Tap via the first stop in years at the Cock Inn on Fair Green in Diss. Before that, it's Fred's Grade Six flute exam, which is done online via a videoed submission from the flute teacher's house in Bedfield - site of many a previous BSCC bike ride to the nearby Crown pub, which is now sadly closed following the retirement of the landlord. Whilst we're waiting, Nosher and Harry go for a walk - past the old pub - to see St. Nicholas's Church and the gorgeous 15th-century Bedfield Hall, built on a 9th-century site.

next album: Camping on the Edge at Snettisham Beach, Norfolk - 28th August 2023
previous album: A Cambridge Reunion on the Beach, Dunwich, Suffolk - 23rd August 2023
