Harry's actually on his bike again
A Quest for the Fabled Swimming Spot, Hoxne, Suffolk - 29th May 2023
Isobel has another crack at finding the fabled swimming spot on the River Waveney, somewhere on the edge of Hoxne. The attempt is ultimately doomed, however it's a nice walk/cycle around and, as we stop for a couple of beers at the Swan Inn, we get some local intel with definitive directions for the next attempt, hopefully sometime before Evelyn's visit later in the summer. Later, Nosher and Mick the Brick are off to the Railway Tavern in Mellis, as the Yaxley Cherry Tree has closed for a few weeks.
next album: The Suffolk Youth Wind Orchestra at the Suffolk Show, Trinity Park - 1st June 2023

Isobel cycles past the lych gate of Hoxne church
Isobel checks the map, as we look for the river
On the path leading from Water Mill Lane
The mill across the meadow
A watermeadow in flower
The River Waveney near Hoxne
The Water Mill at Hoxne
Derelict farm buildings by the footpath
There's a cat on the roof at the Hoxne Swan
Isobel returns from a bit of an explore
Isobel cycles up Low Street in Hoxne
A building with a very flat Dutch gable end
The Oaksmere's got a load of lavender
The greenhouse base is complete at last
Mick the Brick wanders back from his bench
Mick readies his bike for a trip to the Railway
We're at the Mellis Railway, as the Tree is closed
Flowers around the village sign
Mick the Brick unlocks the bikes
Molly - Tiny Cat - is in her favourite spot
