Gaz and Phil outside the Half Moon in Rushall
The BSCC at Rushall, South Lopham and Redgrave - 25th May 2023
A large turnout, at least for recent years, of the remains of the Brome Swan Cycle Club heads out on an epic three-pub trip, starting out at White Horse at South Lopham - for the first time in at least a decade - followed by the Cross Keys in Redgrave, and finally the Cherry Tree at Yaxley. The week before, there's another BSCC ride out to the Half Moon at Rushall - another pub that hadn't been visited in probably 15 years, but which turns out to be well worth the ride, with three ales on. In between the two trips, there's the annual plant sale at Brome Village Hall, and there's a very purple field of chives in flower, near Crossing Road on the edge of Palgrave.
next album: Ricochet at the Queen's Head, Eye, Suffolk - 26th May 2023

The Community-run Half Moon pub
The main street through Rushall
A thatcher's trademark on a roof - the arched cat
There's a dodgy repair to a dormer window
Gaz at the bar of the Half Moon
The nice bar/restaurant area
A couple of horse-and-carts head off
The Half Moon has a good range of rainbow gins on
Shiny steel fermentation tanks at Ampersand
We play Yahtzee after tea in the Oaksmere
A field of purple near Crossing Road in Palgrave
Chives in full purple bloom
Fred sells off a few of our peppers and chillis
Isobel chats at the Brome plant sale
Harry and Isobel chat to the neighbours
Nosher's next big garden project commences
We have Spanish tapas for tea
Molly - Tiny Cat - sleeps with her tongue out
There's a Victoria post box at Diss Station
Meg's behind the bar at the Yaxley Cherry Tree
The Boy Phil in the White Horse at South Lopham
Phil shows Paul something on his phone
We head off to Redgrave
The South Lopham White Horse
Isobel unlocks her bike
Houses on the A1066 Thetford Road
Gaz parks his bike at the Cross Keys
Gaz and The Boy Phil
We hang outside at the Cross Keys in Redgrave
It's a nice evening for a wee in a field
