The entrance is all the remains of Paddock House
Paddock House Demolition and the BSCC at Thorndon, Suffolk - 13th April 2023
We're in Eye to get a few things from the fabric shop and deli and notice with surprise that Paddock House has finally been demolished, after years in limbo, and in particular as it recently looked like is was being prepped for demolition by hand. There's not much left by the time we get there, and the diggers are working on the last section, where the old main entrance used to be. Then, the remains of the BSCC head out for the second time in the new season out to Thorndon Black Horse. They'd just run out of the local-brew Strummer, and the Adnams wasn't brilliant so after a pint we cycle on to the Beaky in Occold.
next album: Palgrave Players and Weybread Canoes, Harleston - 16th April 2023
previous album: Chilli Farms, Okehampton and the Oxenham Arms, South Zeal, Devon - 10th April 2023
A digger grabs at another bit of building
Bits of timber swing through the air
There's a big hole in Eye where Paddock House was
Rubble is dumped into a tipper for disposal
The giant claw waves around in the air
A big pile of brick and timber
The Fabric Shop still has its Easter display out
Gaz cycles up Cross Street in Eye
The threat of rain is never far away
We cycle past Saunders' Farm
Phil and Paul arrive at the Thorndon Black Horse
There's more rain on the horizon
There's a nice sunset near Occold
The Boy Phil interacts with the pub dog
Phil's on his phone again
