The torch team pedal into Brome Street
The Jubilee Torch Run, Brome and Oakley, Suffolk - 25th May 2022
Suffolk's Jubilee Torch tour - where a symbolic torch is being carried by cycle rickshaw through every village in the county - makes it to Brome and Oakley, after a brief diversion caused by not being able to get through the gate on the old Oakley crossroads road. Once it reaches Brome, Jack from the village is picked up to carry the torch through to Oakley, where he's dropped off again. There's a good turnout outside the village hall to watch th proceedings. After that, there are some nice field-margin flowers just outside Gislingham, spotted on a Thursday morning bike ride.

Jack is installed in the rickshaw
The torch is handed over
The rickshaw heads off to the village hall
The torch heads past Bromelands
There's a stop outside the village hall
A group photo occurs
One of the older residents of Brome gets a go
the torch is passed around
Jack and his parents get a photo
Outside the memorial shelter
The entourage, with Mark following, heads to Oakley
There's a pause to let a sprayer past
The torch reaches Upper Oakley
There's a stop for another photo
The rickshaw heads out onto the main Hoxne Road
All stop as Jack is dropped off in Lower Oakley
Mick the Brick heads onto the airfield runway
Eye Airfield's old concrete runway
Nice Dog Daisies near Gislingham
A few poppies wave around
A white butterfly flits around
A bee does its thing
Nosher's bike leans on a post
