There's a nice fire down at the Jolly Porter
Grandad's Fire and SwiftKey Moves Offices, Eye and Paddington - 23rd January 2017
It's Grandad's birthday, shortly after which he nearly burns his kitchen down after setting fire to a cabinet. Then, SwiftKey completes the move from funky Southwark to frumpy Paddington - well out in the boondocks of West London and a bike ride from Liverpool Street of over six miles.
next album: A Trip to Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge, Suffolk - 29th January 2017
previous album: A Day in Lavenham, Suffolk - 22nd January 2017
The fridge-magnet poem expands
It's Grandad's birthday
Harry points at Grandad's cake
Grandad gets a lemon drizzle cake with candles
Candle smoke nearly sets off the smoke alarm
Millie the Mooch sits at the kitchen table
Harry closes the door of Browne's in Diss
Ducks stand on the frozen Mere
Mirror reflections in the ice
Somebody eats chips by the Mere
A line of seagulls on the railings
Isobel in the car wash at Morrisons
Harry's not too sure about the car wash
Grandad's set fire to his kitchen
Grandad's kitchen and scorched cabinets
Graffiti on the railway
The wreck of Forest Gate station
Runch in action
The new Paddington office
Alex writes something on the writeable wall
We test out the Level 8 café area
One of the meeting rooms
A funky corridor
The wastelands of Paddington
Another view down to the office
Quality parking in the 2KS basement
We inspect the changing rooms and bike storage
2 Kingdom Street's reception area
Shops in the Sheldon Square pit
Itsu and office buildings
We head back to the office with lunch
The steps of Two Kingdom Street
A light wall in reception
Cool copper light pendants
The opposite building on Kingdom Street
