The scene in Mellis village hall
Rosie and Henry's Birthday Party, Mellis, Suffolk - 5th May 2013
It's Rosie and Henry's birthday, down at Mellis village hall. Nosher's there, mostly hiding in a corner as the 2n-1 law means that there are approximately 16,384 apparent children crammed in to the room. Later, after another balloon goes up from the Cornwallis's front lawn, we head off for a swift beer in the walled garden.
next album: Bank Holiday Flowers, Brome, Suffolk - 6th May 2013
previous album: The BBs at the Mayor's Charity Ball, Town Moors, Eye, Suffolk - 4th May 2013
Tables are loaded and ready to go
Harry's got a balloon
Harry messes around in the ball pool
Harry eats some bread
The impressively-stacked birthday cake
The algae-stuffed pond behind Mellis village hall
Loads of children in the ball pit
Helen lights the cake
A packed party
A thousand people in the room
Springtime trees can sometimes look like Autumn
Isobel and Harry in the sun
Fred holds Harry up as he potters around
Harry and 'Big Brubberer' Fred
Fred blows bubbles
Back in the garden, Fred watches bubbles
Fred's got a big bubble
Fred runs away as bubbles chase him around
