A Total Eclipse of the Sun, Hoo Meavy, Devon - 11th August 1999

Nosher does a lightning trip down to Devon to experience the only total eclipse of the sun in the UK, at least in this lifetime. There was even a telescope on hand with a custom internal webcam filming a back-projection, in an enclosed lightbox, but it was all no avail as the weather was - predictably - rubbish. Sis, step-sis Kim and Roy "Macca P" off of Suffolk County Council were there too, and at least there were a couple of commiseration trips to the nearby Royal Oak pub in Meavy to make up for it. But first, there are a couple of photos of The Sock up a tree.

next album: A Working Trip to Rome, Italy - 10th September 1999
previous album: A Mortlock Barbeque and a CISU Party, Suffolk - 11th July 1999
