Uni: Night and Day on the Barbican, Plymouth, Devon - 1st May 1986

A night on the Barbican - the old part of Plymouth that wasn't bombed during World War II - often included a session in the Barbican Wine Lodge, a venue that frequently had live trad jazz going on. After that, it would be a compulsory stop off at Cap'n Jasper's, the legendary tea-and-burger emporium near the fish market that was run by John and Dee Dudley. The Barbican would be a popular stop-off during the day too, and there are some photos of the sunken fishing boat that was allegedly scuppered (for the insurance, naturally) in Sutton Harbour, and an exciting photo of the A374 Exeter Street, on the long walk back to the Cromwell Road flat.

next album: Uni: A Student Booze Cruise, Plymouth Sound, Devon - 2nd May 1986
previous album: Uni: Scenes of Plymouth and the PPSU Bar, Plymouth Polytechnic, Devon - 28th April 1986
