A young lad does dry-stone walling
nosher.net
After the Old Man's birthday do, Nosher heads back to Suffolk the long way around, driving from Pontefract across the moors out via Glossop, and then back across through Chesterfield to pick up the M1. Along the way, a young dry-stone waller is spotted in the village of Hoylandswain, on the Halifax/Penistone Road.

A young lad does dry-stone walling
A stone wall at Hoylandswain
Ferrybridge power station is visible in the distance
Dry stone walling
Picking up the next stone
There's a big hole in the wall to fix
Another look at the pile of loose stones
Scout Dike resevoir
Autumn leaves, still hanging on
A Yorkshire gate
A farmhouse, and a field dotted with sheep
Another dry stone wall
Aircraft contrail and wind turbines
Sheep on a field
Vehicle A parked up by the wind farm
Wind farm and a windswept tree
Snake Pass in Derbyshire
A very deep stone bridge
A babbling brook
The moor looks like the tors of Dartmoor
The twisty church steeple at Chesterfield
