May Miscellany: Skelton Festival and Badders - May 2004

Nosher mills about Diss on a grey, drizzly Saturday morning and spots part of the Skelton Festival (warning: bizarrely constructed and slow site) taking place in the market square. John Skelton, 1460-1529, was a tutor to Henry VIII before becoming the Rector of Diss around 1503. Here the Norwich Early Dance Group perform original dances from the period, accompanied with suitable music and interspersed with readings from the work of John Skelton.

More dancing...

The crowd looks on

A stall offers herbs of the period

Max, the BBs bassist is spotted in the crowd, so Nosher wanders over to say 'hi'

On 'Badders' Wednesday, Teresa brings along sproglet Lauren to start teaching her how to play badminton (well, maybe not quite yet)

Crispy, Sarah and Steve-O watch Lauren do stuff
